The NEET PG 2026 results are finally out. Lakhs of students who have completed their MBBS and taken the exam this year have their fingers crossed.
This one result is probably going to define the years ahead of them.
Clearing the exam is an essential but not sufficient condition. The rank and the counseling process will decide the fate of a student in getting admission to their dream specialisation.
There is going to be a lot of competition for the limited available seats this year. The seats are not evenly distributed across every speciality. The seats for best and in-demand specialties like general medicine and dermatology have the best cut-offs and a minor variation in a student’s rank can result in them not being able to achieve their desired specialty.
Students who have cleared the exam but are not happy with their ranks will be in a flux of uncertainty, not knowing whether they will be able to get their desired specialty. Many of them are pondering what their plans will be in the subsequent two years and how they will be able to fulfill their plans of doing postgraduate studies in a specific field.
Are there alternatives to postgraduate medical education in India
Many Indian MBBS graduates are taking or considering alternative career paths that include pursuing clinical training and preparation for the membership of the Royal Colleges and similar institutions of various specialties, combined with clinical experience and training in other countries.
One such clinical training pathway is our Clinical Training and Fellowship Program of two years’ duration. Instead of attending the NEET PG examination and waiting for results for another year, you would undergo training for a membership of a Royal College and get experience in clinical practice with a leading multispeciality or superspeciality hospital in India just like a PG student would do.

Candidates have the opportunity to receive a stipend worth up to 12 lakh rupees while undergoing training.
